Trained by PALTEL, ESCO of Kamal Jumblatt School wins the 'Best Student Company of 2011”
PALTEL trained company of ESCO; a company run by the eleventh grade students of Kamal Jumblatt in the city of Nablus, won the first prize for best student company for 2011 during a students’ company competition organized yesterday at the Ramallah Cultural Palace by Injaz Palestine in collaboration with a number of private companies in order to mobilize the capacity of school students in setting up and running companies and developing leadership skills.
Mr. Imad ‘Elaiwi, PALTEL Treasury Manager who supervised the training of students, expressed his happiness that ESCO won the first place and congratulated the students, saying, “This success and outcome comes as a result of intensive training and long nights of hard work and collaborative effort by students and PALTEL for seven consecutive months.”
‘Elaiwi pointed out that the Best Student Company Award is the best prize nationally and was won by a Nablus school for the first time, adding that “This win is the beginning of another phase, as ESCO will represent Palestine in the Arab Accomplishment Contest in Dubai in September, and this requires further training, effort and challenge, which we are ready for.”
Six public and private schools from different districts participated in this year’s competition and ESCO came first for its B-touch product, which is an electronic remote control that controls electric devices.
