Nablus – Nine months ago, the Palestinian Telecommunications Company "Paltel" started rewarding the ADSL subscribers within the "ADSL Awards" campaign which includes various prizes. Mr. Rami Shamshoum, Chief Commercial Officer at Paltel and Ahmad Abu Marzouk, Director of the Gaza Strip Area started presenting the prizes to winners throughout the telecommunication centers in the governorates of Qalqilya and Gaza's main center in Gaza City in the presence of the winners and ADSL service providers. In attendance, were representatives from the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology along with a number of officials from Paltel as well as media representatives.
The winners were as follows:
• Hazim Saheb from Hebron, a subscriber of the ADSL service through the provider Hadara, and won an LG TV 42;
• Nabila Zawaneh from Nablus, a subscriber of the ADSL service through the provider Hadara, and won an LG refrigerator,
• Azzam Al Sheikh from Qalqilya, a subscriber of the ADSL service through the provider Hadara, and won an LG washing machine,
• Suleiman Doshan from Gaza, a subscriber of the ADSL service through the provider Hadara, and won a Play Station 2,
• Hazim Saheb from Hebron, a subscriber of the ADSL service through the provider Hadara, and won an LG TV 42;
• Nabila Zawaneh from Nablus, a subscriber of the ADSL service through the provider Hadara, and won an LG refrigerator,
• Azzam Al Sheikh from Qalqilya, a subscriber of the ADSL service through the provider Hadara, and won an LG washing machine,

In addition to the above named winners, six other awards regarding increases in ADSL speed were presented to the following individuals: (1) Ahmed Zohd from Gaza, who also won a modem; (2) Tariq Tibi from Deir al-Balah won the service provider of Palnet and Hadara; (3) Zolfa Shamlakh won a computer provider; (4) Bishara Oun from Bethlehem won the Click Net service provider; (5) Abdul Mohsen Hussein from Gaza won the service provider PIS from Hadara and; (6) Kareem Al-Jabal from Rafah won the service provider PIS from Hadara.
Mr. Rami Shamshoum announced that the drawing of the Volkswagen Jeep Tiguan 2009 will be held at the beginning of next year 2010, stressing that the campaign will continue until the end of 2009. Mr. Shamshoum called upon all citizens to seize the opportunity to subscribe, where the drawing will be open to all who participate in the service.
Mr. Shamshoum also emphasized that Paltel seeks to provide the ADSL at the best prices and with high quality so that internet access is available to all citizens as part of its strategy for the digital dissemination of knowledge in Palestine. Mr. Shamshoum also noted that Paltel will continue to launch special campaigns for subscribers to encourage their participation, as evidence where Paltel recently doubled the speed of ADSL for free with reduced prices. It also introduced the speed of 2 GB for the first time in Palestine responding to the requested needs of the subscribers.
