PalTel group and an Najah National University signed an agreement to build a data network for educational and research purposes, which relies on the second generation of the internet, aiming to link and develop the existing university network, and connect all geographical locations through this network, resulting an integrated information and electronic entity. Accordingly the university will be able to communicate with all other universities connected to this network in the country, hence utilizing state of the art telecom and information technologies.
 
The present agreement falls within the strategic partnership between the two sides based on the correlation between PalTel group and the university - where PalTel group sponsors many of the curricular and extracurricular activities within the university - and is considered as a step in the right direction for the development of higher education and scientific research, mainly for education in the information age. This agreement is a pioneering step that reflects a genuine partnership between private and civil sectors. Dr. Hamdallah, the University chairman, praised PalTel group’s generous investment for many years to come in the building of education and scientific research along with An Najah University and other universities in the country as well, whether in the West Bank or Gaza, pointing to the good efforts undertaken by PalTel group for the benefit of science and education across many years, where An Najah University always work on achieving the finest and the best operational systems as it became the largest Palestinian universities, noting that this agreement will open new horizons for university development, thus developing scientific research.
 
For his part, Dr. Al Jaber pointed out that there is a group of developmental and scientific projects, in addition to many activities sponsored by PalTel group for the benefits of university students, by enabling them access the  sources of scientific research and provide possibilities for the development of Palestinian human resources , added: PalTel group and its CEO puts supporting education at the top of its priorities, stressing that the group looks at education as an instrument for achieving the goals of liberation and nation-building and is considered as one of the most important ways to building society, and stressed the need to give more space in our society for scientific research, which receives little compared to other States
