Ramallah – 27-8-2007, PalTel Group and Al-Rafah Bank for Small Projects Financing signed cooperation agreement to establish Computer Program Portfolio (computer for every house) with the presence of PalTel’s Executive Manager Dr. Abd Al-Malek Al-Jaber and the Chairman of Al-rafah Bank Board of Directors Mr. Talal Naser Ad-Din.
 
Dr. Al-Jaber indicated the great interest PalTel Group pays to push the integrated human development process forward, including the technological development components in Palestine. The Group proved this through its various initiatives and projects focused on this vision and so surrounded this sector by special care through social responsibility programs. The Group supported different sectors related to technology sector and information systems. It was established computer laboratories for many medical and educational institutions and NGOs. It also focused its efforts on many individuals, particularly, youth, people with special needs and socially neglected parties in order to push the technological development forward among all the Palestinian society individuals. Al-Jaber considered what the Group is doing is a national duty assuring that PalTel Group forms key provider of technology in Palestine and it seeks development to put Palestine on the universal map side by side with the technologically developed states of the world. Al-Jaber confirmed “today every Palestinian can obtain a computer and internet line at home easily”.
 
Al-Jaber added “such an initiative comes among a set of initiatives PalTel Group launched due to its belief in its rile in building a developed Palestinian society and because they are inseparable part of the Palestinian national network”. Al-Jaber indicated “this initiative accumulatively with other initiatives previously launched by the Group such as supporting, through partnership, the Palestinian Incubator for Information technology PECTI, supporting the pioneers and the creative and assisting them to create opportunities to start and achieve the best results through encouraging their creativity. The best proof on this was the adoption of Yoyaland project by Hadarah Company. It was recently launched as educational –entertainment program allocated to the children of the world. The Group is proud of all the initiatives previously launched and it considers them as part of integrated strategy which will definitely contribute to building a generation technologically educated, following up the situation of the era, which will contribute to the efforts of illiteracy obliteration in the fields of technology and scientific development”.
 
Chairman of Al-Rafah Bank Board of Directors, Mr. Talal Naser Ad-Din, said “The agreement will include loan-providing to any citizen who will be able, in accordance with the agreement, to receive computers in competitive prices and in easy installments without any bank interests”. He emphasized “such agreements will achieve one goal which is raising the percentage of internet access and promoting its applications in the practical and academic life”. Naser Ad-Din confirmed “this treaty undoubtedly proves the capability of the Palestinian national institutions of improving the Palestinian society and leading it to advanced levels scientifically and academically.
 
Naser Ad-Din indicated “Al-Rafah Bank was established to provide integrated banking services for income-limited sectors and for the different classes and groups. The Bank provides loans for small projects in order to assist the people improve their life conditions and start new projects which serve the Palestinian society and increase the development process in Palestine”.
 
Naser Ad-Din mentioned “the idea of establishing the computer program was through an initiative by Paltel Group and Al-Rafah Bank harmonized with the Bank’s developmental goals, whereas the program will be divided into two stages: the first is at individuals, unions and institutions level, and the second will be a specialized stage, which will study the needs of specific classes such as students, societies, village councils and other classes”. Naser Ad-Din concluded “now it became possible for young and old who are willing to receive the needed financing within the easy terms without complications from Al-Rafah Bank for the interest of computer for every house”.
