About Us
The Palestine Telecommunications Company was established in 1995 as a public joint stock company, and its shares were listed on the Palestine Stock Exchange after obtaining a license from the Palestinian Authority in 1996. It began its work on January 1, 1997, as an operator and provider of all telecommunications services for fixed lines and the Internet, cloud computing services, and information security in Palestine.
In 1999, Jawwal started off from its mother company to become the first provider of cellular communications services in Palestine, with a call made by the late President of Palestine, Yasser Arafat. Over the years, it has also been able to provide the latest services and technologies developed by global technology, becoming the most efficient local provider, and its subscriber base reaches more than three million subscribers.
In 2005, the home ADSL service was launched with the aim of providing subscribers with high Internet speeds by offering various commercial campaigns.
In 2007, the number of Jawwal subscribers exceeded one million, and it exceeded two million by 2010. By 2011, we were able to enter materials, equipment, and cellular stations into the Gaza Strip for the first time since 2007 and complete commercial sales.
As part of its endeavor to expand its services, in 2019, Palestine Telecommunications opened the first data center to provide various services to the institutional and corporate sectors. These services include managed hosting solutions that give companies the ability to choose whether they are hosting websites or applications, so that the Palestinian business sector can access the latest technology.
Its successes culminated in 2022 with the launch of Fiber to the Home Services (FTTH), which raised the average speed in Palestine and met the requirements o f future virtual technology around the world.
By 2022, also establish and list Arkan Real Estate Company on the Palestine Stock Exchange and distribute its shares to shareholders of the telecom company, an important step aimed at maximizing shareholders’ rights.
At the beginning of 2023, in a major partnership with the Arab Bank, Reflect, the first neo bank, was launched in Palestine with the aim of facilitating all banking services that provide simulated digital technology to customers and connecting different needs in their lives.
Today, the company is making every effort to obtain the right to operate 4G and 5G services in the West Bank and Gaza, to provide the highest internet speeds to all subscribers in Palestine, and to be among the countries with the latest technologies and services.
